  • Y5/6 Oakerwood Day 3

    After their second night at Oakerwood, the children woke up refreshed and ready for the day. They enjoyed another hearty breakfast before packing up their belongings. Before heading out to play Capture the Flag, they had the chance to visit the gift shop and spend some money on mementos from their residential. 

    The morning was filled with Capture the Flag and other fun team-building games that got everyone working together. After a final lunch of chicken burgers, the children had a final exciting treat: a bounce on an inflatable course! Finally, they boarded the coach and returned to school, full of memories from a fantastic trip.

  • Y5/6 Oakerwood Day 2

    Day 2 of our Oakerwood Leisure residential was packed with excitement. The children began their morning with a hearty breakfast before rolling up their sleeves to create authentic traditional pizzas, which were cooked in clay ovens.

    After this, they tackled the Borneo low ropes challenges with great teamwork and determination, before setting off on a woodland navigation trail to test their map-reading skills.
     

    In the evening, everyone enjoyed chicken nuggets and chips from the local fish and chip shop, followed by another round of marshmallow toasting around the fire. There was also plenty of downtime for the children to relax and enjoy their glamping pods before settling in for the night. A very successful day two!

  • Y5/6 Oakerwood Day 1

    The children have arrived safely at Oakerwood Leisure in Leominster and have had a fantastic first day. After settling into their new glamping pods, they quickly got stuck into a range of high ropes activities, including gladiator, quick jump, zip wire, and the monkey climb.

    Following an action-packed afternoon, everyone enjoyed a hearty spaghetti bolognese dinner before gathering around the campfire to toast marshmallows. The day ended with plenty of smiles and a well-earned night’s sleep, ready for more adventures tomorrow.
