English: LO: To write a short story based on an image.

Look at the picture below. What a disaster! This man has opened his kitchen cupboard to find 9 raccoons! Your job today is to write a short story- about a page and a half long about this scene. You must tell the story from before this picture was taken and finish it afterwards. Look at the speech bubbles below to give you some prompts.

You are starting the week by learning how to add fractions. You will be adding two or more fractions with the same denominator (bottom number) where the total is less than 1.  You will notice that you add the numerators (top numbers) and the denominators (bottom numbers) stay the same. Have that place value grid handy yet again! Today you are going to be rounding decimals with 1 decimal place to the nearest whole number. You will need to look at the digit in the tenths column to understand whether to round a number up or not. Remember, if a number is exactly half-way, then we round up to the next number. Watch the video below and then do the attached worksheet.
