Day 4
Maths
L.O. To answer reasoning and problem solving questions about equivalent fractions
Today you will be using the knowledge of equivalent fractions you gained yesterday, to answer reasoning and problem solving questions. It might be worth having a labelled place value grid handy to help you. I have put the link for yesterday’s video below so you can watch this again to help you if you need it.
I have attached Bronze, Silver and Gold activities for you to try. Remember, you don’t need to do all of the sheets. Do the one you are most confident with and then challenge yourself to try the next level.
English
LO: To compose sentences describing a setting
The video below is all about a group of meerkats who are worried by a vulture trying to steal their beloved fruit.
Watch the video and make notes of some of the things you notice about the SETTING. Write 5 really good sentences about the setting of the video.
What do you see? What could you smell? Use your 5 senses to help you imagine the place the video is set- the beautiful African plains. Remember to use interesting words that make your reader go ‘WOW!’
RE:
LO: To explain who founded Christianity and where it was founded and to think about the representations of Jesus Christ.
Christianity traces its beginnings to the birth and teachings of Jesus. After Jesus died, his disciples (or followers) continued to spread the word of God. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Click the tab that leads to the power point at the bottom of this page. Go through the power point and read all about how and where Christianity was founded.
Take a look at the different ways that Jesus has been shown in the art work in the power point presentation. Can you recognise a pattern in the way that he has been shown? Jesus lived over 2000 years ago so no one really knows what he looks like- these are artists’ impressions.
Take some time now to draw you’re your own version of what you think Jesus might look like. Will he be holding anything? Will you include anything else in your picture?
