After careful planning last week, Merlins carried out their investigation into the absorbency of a variety of kitchen rolls in science today. We await their conclusions with bated breath!
Reception had a wonderful time at their forest school ice cafe!
In science, Kingfishers have been experimenting with sound.
Year 5 and 6 have been exploring themes from Alice in Wonderland in English. This week, Y5 looked at the poem the Jabbawocky and created their own monster poem.
It is great to see the children working hard to improve their handwriting throughout the school.
On Wednesday we had a wonderful afternoon at the cluster multi skills festival. We improved our jumping, skipping, throwing, catching and running skills. We all had a lovely time and are looking forward to going to another festival at The Chantry.

In PE this week, Kestrels were focussing on their football dribbling skills. They showed great control as they made their way around the playground trying to dribble the ball through as many cone goals as they could to earn points. If they hit the goal, their score went back to zero!
This week, we concluded our 'Dance by Chance' PE unit. This week, the children worked in their pairs, recapped their routines and considered how they could adapt their routine whilst considering the 'relationship' element of it. By this, we refer to the formation of both partners, whether they work in unison or in canon with one another. The children have participated in these sessions with passion and have been incredibly supportive to one another throughout.

This week, we celebrated the achievements of the children across the school in our achievement assembly. We are very proud of them and the way in which they live our values and attributes.
