Year 3 and 4  had a fantastic day in Birmingham on Wednesday.  In the morning we visited Birmingham Central Mosque and had a very interesting tour led by Mrs K.  It was fascinating to visit the different parts of the mosque and learn about their significance in the Islamic faith.

After lunch we arrived at The Lapworth Museum of Geology to be greeted by Rory the dinosaur!  The museum contained some amazing fossils and rocks. After we had explored the exhibits we became scientists and carried out a range of experiments to identify some mystery rocks. Jake who led the workshop taught us how to collect data and interpret our results to successfully identify all the rocks and understand how they had been formed.
