I hope you enjoyed your pre-reading task yesterday, learning some new vocabulary will really help you with listening/reading along with the book. 

Today your task involves listening/reading along with the story using THIS LINK, or go to the 'Stories' section of the website, then complete the work attached at the bottom of this page. The transcript to my reading is also attached at the bottom if you feel better reading along with me.

Hopefully the lesson yesterday about writing tenths as decimals made sense and you could see just how important the place value grid was. Today you will be continuing to develop your understanding of tenths as decimals by trying some reasoning and problem solving questions. As before, have a labelled place value grid handy to help you. I have put the link for yesterday’s video below so you can watch this again to help you if you need it.

I have attached Bronze, Silver and Gold activities for you to try. Remember, you don’t need to do all of the sheets. Do the one you are most confident with and then challenge yourself to try the next level.

I hope dividing by 10 came flooding back to you yesterday! I also hope you had your place value grids and counters handy to help you. Always remember, your place value columns and the decimal point NEVER move, it's always the digits that move. Did you remember the rule when dividing by 10? There's 'i' in right and 'i' in divide so they go together. (There's no 'i' in left!)

Today you are going to use this knowledge to answer reasoning and problem solving questions about dividing 2-digits numbers by 10. I have put the link for yesterday’s video below so you can watch this again to help you if you need it.
