English L.O: To make predictions and identify and use relative clauses.

Activity 1: Ask an adult or older sibling to test you on the new 10 spellings you received on Monday 22nd June and make a record of your score in your home learning books . New spellings for you to be tested on next week can be found below.

We will be reading a book called Skellig. This book is based on moving somewhere new.

Activity 2: Write down/ bullet point all of the feelings you would experience if you moved to a new home and new school. You may even form some descriptive sentences.

Activity 3: Take a look at the front and back cover of our new class book:

Activity 4: Write a minimum of one paragraph, writing your predictions for this story. Be as detailed as you can. Think about the characters we may meet and how the story line may progress. Will it be a positive story? Will it end well for everyone? What themes or issues might we come across in Skellig?

Activity 5: Listen to Chapter 1 of 'Skellig' on the Learning --> Stories page of the website

Activity 4: Open up the file below titled 'Spectacular Spectrum'. Use the experiment Professor Brian Cox carried out in the video above to explain what happens when a prism is put in front of direct sunlight.

Activity 5: Using the same worksheet:

• Make a prediction for the colour wheel experiment.
• Carry out the experiment.
• Follow this up with an explanation of what you observed.

P.E.

At a time where we all find ourselves indoors for the most of the day, we should bear in mind how important daily exercise is for our health and wellbeing, particularly our mental health. If you are able to, take your device somewhere with plenty of space (even the garden on a nice sunny day) or clear some space in front of your computer and follow along with Joe Wicks for a 30 minute workout. I will definitely be doing the same!
