I hope you all enjoyed the summer fair last week and thank you to all who worked so hard to make this event happen.
This week we received some fantastic news about a grant application which has been successful and we have been awarded £3,000 towards the refurbishment of the school's wildlife area. Once completed, this will be a wonderful learning resource to enrich our curriculum and provide a calm, mindfulness area for pupils. Exciting times ahead!
Next Friday the ECO pupil group have requested that all children come to school wearing something green as part of an ECO awareness day. During the day the whole school will take part in activities to learn more about why we have sponsored a mountain gorilla with WWF.
Looking forward to September, I would like to share the class arrangements. Next Thursday we will be welcoming into school our new Reception pupils for their final visit while the rest of the school will spend the morning with their new teachers and in their new classrooms. All staff are always around after school on the playgrounds if you wish to say hello to your child's new teacher.
